Good news on the horizon with the commissioning of the Mobile CCTV cameras funded by the Labor Government and a big thank you to Caitlin Collins, Emily Hamilton and The City of Joondalup.
There are three units for deployment and each one has three cameras atop a 12 foot pole set in a concrete plinth. These are ready for deployment and locations within Hillarys, Kallaroo and possibly Currumbine have been identified for initial deployment. These locations were chosen as a result of residents input to Caitlin and our Police intel holdings. Hopefully their deployment will result in capturing the reported hooning incidents at the locations and result in prosecutions.
Cameras will be looked at being moved every 8 weeks or so unless there is a need earlier.
