PINNAROO POINT CAFE/RESTAURANT/TAVERN OUT FOR PUBLIC CONSULTATION (Closes 22 September)

Consider submitting your comments on the development of a cafe / restaurant / tavern at Pinneroo Point Beach.

The development includes:
  • A two storey building, providing casual café/kiosk dining on the ground floor and a more formal dining and lounge/bar on the first floor. Function spaces are available on both floors
  • Approximate patron capacity of 500 people and up to 40 staff
  • Opening hours between 7.00am to midnight, seven days a week
  • Open deck and balcony areas to the southern and western aspects of the building
  • Additional carparking provided in conjunction with a redevelopment of the existing carpark.

There will be just 158 car bays for beach goers and the cafe patrons. Hard not to conclude that will not be enough parking to cater for the needs of both groups.

When Council approved the sub lease in November 2020 there was no indication that the proposed cafe / kiosk was going to cater for this many patrons or that it was going to be tavern.
